Noah Gorman’s An Escheresque Fantasy offers a new take on surrealism for percussion trio. Inspired by M.C. Escher’s painting Relativity, this work requires total independence from its players. With a bassline in 4/4 and the motive in 13/16, Gorman’s latest work will have both the players and the audience walking the inverted staircases in Escher’s walls.
