Lamp-Light, by Orynn Murphy

$31.00

I. Love Letter introduces the main melody of the piece and offers a variation of that melody. Imagine sitting at your desk late at night writing to someone you care deeply about, and how you might feel pouring your heart out into words.

II. Fading Yellow Light - As you write this letter you notice that the lamp bulb is dying so you desperately attempt to find the words to put into this letter as quickly as you can resulting in frantic writing as represented by the very contrasting middle section of this movement. You finish your letter. You wait to deliver it to the one you care about most. As you put your pen down, your lamp fades to darkness.

III. Dreaming of You in the Stars is a direct reflection of the movement I. motif but altered to show the full realization of the letter as you drift off to sleep with the lamp-light there to guide you in your dreams.
